Red lentils. For these.
Been lusting after them for weeks.
Winter's light is too dark, too early for good shots in the kitchen.
Though the sun shone all day, a girl's gotta have a life...

I've also been planning to make that recipe Lucy, it just hasn't quite happened yet. The only thing stopping me is a lack of bulgur in the cupboard.
winter might not be great for photography but it is fine lentil weather - enjoy!
Heavens, I actually have the ingredients to do this!
I'm onto it...
Tried the lentil patties.
I reckon frying them up at the end is the way to go. Taste great, though. Have been wondering forever what to do with the burghul wheat. Now I know.
Delicious.
Love, love, love lentils. I've got bags of all sorts of them stuffed in the freezer and cupboards. One day I'm going to take a blind taste test to see if I can tell the differences among them.
Better get yourself some bulgur Kathryn! These are great, but I'm with Shula (see below) in thinking they need a crust of some kind.
Lovin' the lentils Johanna.
I agree Shula. I made them with more spice than was recommended and wrapped them in crispy cos lettuce leaves, but something was missing. Fried the remainder yesterday - much better. Reckon they might even be rather good with Indian dhal spices (especially mustard seeds).
God, I collect them too Susan! Favourites are Puy lentils but I love these red ones. Not too sure that my palate is clever enough to tell the differece blind-folded though!
Can't wait to see what you make with them. I bought a packet last week, not sure what I am going to make with it yet. :)
Love these red lentils, Lucy! Will have to think of something summery to do with them up here...hmmm. I can't wait to see what you decide on!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Your photos are amazing! I have trouble cooking early enough to get good light and it is raining here a lot at the moment, so that makes the whole place a bit dull! ho hum!
Hi Ceviz - they are so easy and utterly gorgeous. Thank you.
Would love to see your pilav recipe.
