All this talk about pantry-lovin' has got me thinking as the wind whips wildly around the house.
Stir-fry of smoked tofu, greens, spring onion and shiitakes.
All in my new favourite bowl.
The beetroot greenery, blanched and squeezed, carried the Ketjap Manis (how I love it) best. The pink water left behind was rather good, sipped, while waiting.

Yum Lucy - boy that looks good. I haven't even thought about the shiitakes we have hidden at the back of the cupboard. Think they might be making an appearance in tonight's concoction.
And look at those glorious spring onions.
looks delicious!! I love shiitakes.
Yum
Yum - had tofu, shitakes and spring onions for dinner tonight :)
We keep thinking so alike, it's spooky.
Oooh, that ketchup sounds divine. Another gorgeous photo.
I can't begin to say how good that looks! If only it were sitting on my dinner table right now...
Curious about the smoked tofu - where you buy it? Is it already smoked?
Looks can be deceiving...
Tasting is to believing!
I want it. Now.
What a delicious and simple meal. I love quick ones like that-- that put together ingredients that really work together and provide a lot of depth of flavor.
ketjap manis -oh yum. Your tofu stirfry looks so very delicious.
Um, I am going off to the pantry right now. I swear I have enough food in there to feed us for a year.
Thanks, all. I keep coming back to the pantry and thinking, nup, still too much to justify a shopping expedition...I didn't think that my pantry was quite so over-stocked, though I did go through a phase of buying up odd grains and the like for 'just in case I run out' moments...
AOF - it IS spooky. In a very good way!
Jenaveve, hi, yes I do buy the tofu already smoked - a Tasmanian (I think) company called Earnest Bean make it and it is delicious. Good Organic/Healthfood shops should be able to sort you out. They also make a vegan dip with it, but that's just a bit too smoky and heavy for me! Good luck.
Vegeyum - it's shocking when you look at what's in there and still bring home more stuff, isn't it?!!
lovely photo and elegant simplicity
I can't live without kechap manis (is your the ABC brand?). I've been known to add a dash of it to my tomato sauce to balance out the flavours. ;-)
...All I have to do now is convert my man to eating shiitakes....
